"When Nora approached me about collaborating on a Lilies remix, I was a little nervous because I had never remixed a folk song before. Upon bringing the stems into my studio, I fell into a beautiful and meditative spiral for most of the day and came through with our first draft a couple weeks early. I built the entire track around a few lyrics that spoke to me the most - it felt like Nora was reciting a mantra for me over and over. Working with Nora was not only an incredibly smooth and inspiring experience, but a healing one too. I hope listening to this track can give people even a fraction of the joy I felt working on it." - QRTR

lyrics
Original lyrics:
You showed up on time last night
But I left before the sun could rise
You ate every single bite
But I just drank the wine
And I won't hold
The lilies you gave to me
I won't smile
In the photo you take of me
I won't get in my head
You're just another new man in my bed
And I like sleeping alone
You brought me your Vonnegut
But I put that book on the shelf
'Cause I won't hold
The lilies you gave to me
Or smile
In the photo you take of me
I won't get in my head
I've had plenty good men in my bed
And I'm still sleeping alone
I can't do it, I can't go through it
Just won't do it, I won't go through it again
But lying here with you
I know I'll miss you if you leave
So don't do it
I want to go through it
I will hold
The lilies you gave to me
I will smile
In the photo you take of me
I'll try not to get in my head
As I start to fall for you in my bed
Let's stop sleeping alone
